AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Hand Soldering Assembly Technician to support multiple production areas in Reynosa.

You will perform manual assembly tasks including cable prep, soldering, finishing, and module assembly while adhering to IPC standards and quality requirements. The role requires 1–3+ years in electronic assembly, experience with cable harnesses, and proficiency with hand tools and crimping equipment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electronics or related field.
• 1–3+ years in electronic assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience in cable harness assembly and routing.
• Knowledge of crimp validation methods and pull testing.
• Proficient hand soldering: wire-to-wire, wire-to-terminal, PCB.
• Able to read work instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with ESD handling and controlled environments.
• IPC certification preferred (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620).

Responsabilidades

• Perform hand soldering of electronic components and wire connections per work instructions.
• Cut, strip, and prepare cables to specified lengths.
• Crimping operations using approved tools and processes.
• Apply masking, insulation, and protective materials.
• Assemble components, subassemblies, and cable harnesses.
• Support multiple workstations as a floater and adapt tasks.
• Inspect solder joints, crimps, and wire prep for quality and defects.
• Conduct basic rework and touch-up on assemblies.
• Follow ESD, safety, and workmanship standards at all times.
• Maintain tools and clean work area; complete production documentation.
