Job summary

Danfoss seeks a Trade Compliance Specialist in Mexico to ensure accurate tariff and export control classifications across the organization. You will reduce regulatory risk, support customs compliance, and provide essential trade data for origin determination and FTAs.

Qualifications

• Experience in tariff classification, customs compliance, or international trade regulations.
• Strong understanding of HTS, Schedule B, ECCN and related frameworks.
• Ability to interpret technical product information for classification decisions.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global business environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead tariff and export control classification activities ensuring HTS, Schedule B, NICO, and ECCN classifications.
• Partner with Engineering and Product Management to ensure accurate product classification decisions.
• Support customs compliance by guiding brokers and handling classification inquiries.
• Investigate and document discrepancies with suppliers, customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Continuously improve classification processes, data quality, and regulatory readiness.
