Job summary

Sandvik AB is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to ensure externally supplied products meet Sandvik's quality standards. You will interface with Sourcing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to prevent defects, improve supplier performance, and drive corrective actions across the lifecycle.

You will lead qualification, inspection, change management, and continuous improvement efforts with a focus on fact‑based decisions and accountability, including audits and supplier reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or AWS CWI certification required.
• 3–7+ years in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or related roles.
• Strong working knowledge of quality systems, audits, and supplier management practices.
• Hands-on experience with structured problem solving and corrective action processes.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fabricated weldments, machined parts, hydraulic components, and purchased materials.
• Verify weld quality, dimensional compliance, surface preparation, paint, and finish per drawings and standards.
• Lead supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and root cause analyses.
• Conduct supplier qualification, onboarding, and audits with capability assessments.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve supplier‑driven issues.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
