Job summary

Vertiv Group seeks a Procurement Business Specialist to drive early supplier engagement, sourcing strategy, and readiness for NPDI programs. You will own schedules, cost targets, and cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Global Offering Management.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, experience with stage-gate processes, and expertise in cost modeling and BOM health. Travel for domestic/international project work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations or related field; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain for new product/engineering programs.
• Experience managing stage-gate or phase-gate development processes end-to-end.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalents.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, operations, and commercial functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPDI projects through seven phase-gate gates and reviews.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, procurement, and services.
• Own project schedules, gate deliverables, and Smartsheet/SharePoint structures.
• Execute Product Cost Process and track cost targets at each gate.
• Manage Revenue, Margin, and Product Cost metrics in BCC and models.
• Coordinate with NPDI procurement leads on strategic sourcing and BOM health.
