Global Benefits Manager – Mexico

Overview
The Manager, Employee Benefits (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for leading and implementing comprehensive benefits offerings and policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic advice. Conduct market surveys, analyze benefit plans, and set equitable benefit plans consistent with market trends, potentially handling executive or international benefit plan components.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, review and implementation of benefits programs (health, life, disability, retirement, wellness, flexible benefits) for Mexico and support regional / global projects.
- Ensure compliance with local labor, tax and social security regulations and align local practices with global policies.
- Manage vendors and brokers, including RFP processes, contract negotiations, renewals, service level monitoring and ongoing relationship management.
- Conduct data analysis and benchmarking to evaluate competitiveness, cost, utilization and employee experience; propose improvements and cost‑optimization scenarios.
- Partner with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance and Legal to ensure flawless execution of benefits processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver clear communications and training for employees and managers to increase understanding and perceived value of benefits.
- Support global benefits governance, including participation in global projects, harmonization initiatives, M&A integrations and policy development.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for leadership, highlighting key insights, risks and recommendations related to benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards, with strong focus on benefits management in a multinational environment.
- Solid knowledge of Mexican labor and social security legislation related to benefits and experience ensuring compliance.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to model scenarios, manage budgets and interpret data for decision making.
- Proven experience in vendor and broker management, including negotiation and performance tracking.
- Advanced English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at different levels and across countries.
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and high attention to detail.
