• Facilities: Two manufacturing plants with approximately 300 employees across three shifts (Monday‑Saturday).
• Key clients: Walmart, Chedraui, Sam’s Club, Tiendas 3B, and wholesale distributors.
• Core processes: Cooking, packaging, refrigeration, storage, and distribution.
• Current phase: Transition to a technologically advanced plant requiring significant change management, employee training, and cultural adaptation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the full operations of both manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, service, cost, and delivery standards.
- Develop and implement operational and growth strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Supervise key operational areas: manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, logistics, quality, safety, and environmental management.
- Guarantee process continuity and efficiency across cooking, packaging, and cold‑chain systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, automation projects, and process optimization via TPM and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Manage budgets, operational KPIs, and productivity goals to ensure profitability.
- Lead the transition to the new production facility, ensuring technological adoption, staff training, and procedural standardization.
- Build a strong organizational culture centered on operational discipline, communication, and teamwork.
- Represent the company during audits, regulatory reviews, and key customer meetings.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning, capital investments, and development of new business lines.
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce costs.
- Lead and motivate a team of supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure employee development and engagement.
- Foster a positive work culture emphasizing teamwork, safety, and quality.
- Maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and address quality issues or production discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits.
- Promote a safety‑conscious culture through training and awareness programs.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the plant budget, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage inventory levels.
- Communicate regularly with senior management, providing updates on production performance and key metrics.
- Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial Chemical, Food‑related, or similar) or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, decision‑making, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
- Experience managing operational budgets exceeding 100 M MXN annually.
- Ability to work on‑site in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area and adapt to fast‑paced, changing environments.
