Job summary

BairesDev in Mexico is seeking a GCP Data Engineer to lead scalable data systems on Google Cloud Platform, owning the data lifecycle from pipelines to analytics.

You will build robust pipelines with Python, utilize BigQuery and Cloud Storage, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure data quality and security, and continuously evaluate new GCP services for performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cloud Data Management.
• Proven expertise leading the development of scalable data systems on Google Cloud Platform.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
• Deep understanding of GCP-native services, specifically BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Hands-on experience overseeing complex data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data processing systems and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from diverse sources using Python and GCP services.
• Leverage BigQuery to build high-performance analytics warehouses and enable large-scale querying for business insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and implement end-to-end data solutions that support organizational goals.
