Job summary

Lingaro Mexico is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize GCP-based data pipelines. You will work with BigQuery, SQL, Python, and modern orchestration tools to ingest data from databases, APIs and streaming sources, collaborating with data scientists and business stakeholders.

You will mentor peers, engage with clients, and contribute to architecture, performance tuning, and data modeling in a multinational, distributed team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer with GCP-based infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying cloud data pipelines.
• SQL and Python programming; data modeling and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of orchestration (Airflow) and data integration (ETL/ELT).
• Experience with modern data tools (DBT, Dataform) and BI tools.
• Strong communication and client-facing collaboration.
• Open to learning and working in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy data pipelines in GCP to ingest data from databases and APIs.
• Model data and optimize storage architectures (data lakes/warehouses).
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize queries for performance.
• Mentor junior data engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and propose data-driven improvements.
