Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or CE with 2–4 years of related software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Django, Celery, and JavaScript with JQuery.
• Ability to persist through blockers and coordinate with others.
• Seeks empirical evidence through tests and external research.
• Delivers code changes to QA that are thoroughly unit tested with minimal bugs; SQL experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop features utilizing Python, SQL, and other frontend tools in two-week sprint cycles.
• Engage in client support to monitor, diagnose, and triage bugs.
• Collaborate with others to design, scope, and implement feature requests and bug fixes.
• Communicate with sales/business to meet development goals.
• Participate in group activities such as pair programming and knowledge sharing.
• Understand areas of the codebase; able to work in other areas with guidance.
• Weigh in on technical decisions that impact product areas.
• Develop secure and performant solutions.
• Act as Development Team member of Agile Scrum Team.
• Attend Daily Scrum, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, End of Cycle meetings.
• Track all tasks, estimates, and work logged in JIRA.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and implementation of methodologies for high-quality deployments.
• Participate in Security Training and ongoing education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering 2-4 years of related experience in software development or product development environment with a successful coding and development track record
• Python, Django, Celery, Javascript with JQuery skills
• Persistence in the face of roadblocks; ability to dispatch roadblocks efficiently, pulling in others as necessary
• Seeks empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests and external research
• Delivers code changes to QA in a timely manner that have been thoroughly unit tested and have minimal bugs
• Database skills (SQL). Experience with PostgreSQL a plus
• Ability to work in team-based setting with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Desire to be a full stack application developer
