AgileEngine is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer on a short-term contract to December 31 to build and maintain a tax research and workpapers platform. You will work across React front-end and Node.js, C#, and Python back-end services, with data in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, across the AWS stack.

Contract spans AWS services like SQS, Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, ALB, EventBridge, plus IaC with Terraform and CI/CD via GitLab.

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Front-End development with ReactJS.
• Back-End APIs and services using Node.js, C#, and Python.
• Databases with PostgreSQL and AWS DynamoDB.
• AWS cloud services including SQS, Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, ALB, EventBridge.
• Testing with Jest and Playwright.
• CI/CD with GitLab; IaC with Terraform.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to build and maintain web applications for a tax research and workpapers platform. The role spans front-end development in React and back-end services in Node.js, C#, and Python, with data managed across PostgreSQL and DynamoDB. This is a short-term contract running through December 31, spanning the full AWS cloud stack.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ReactJS for the front end.
• Build scalable and reliable back-end services using Node.js, C#, and Python.
• Optimize and manage data persistence layers with PostgreSQL and AWS DynamoDB.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as SQS, Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, ALB, and EventBridge.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and manage continuous integration and deployment workflows via GitLab CI/CD.
• Write robust automated tests with Jest and Playwright to ensure code quality and application reliability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the full development lifecycle.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Front-End: Experience building responsive interfaces with ReactJS.
• Back-End: Experience developing APIs and services using Node.js, C#, and Python.
• Databases: Proficient with PostgreSQL and AWS DynamoDB for both relational and NoSQL data management.
• Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience with key AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, ALB, and EventBridge.
• Testing: Solid experience with automated testing frameworks, especially Jest and Playwright.
• DevOps: Practical experience with Terraform for IaC and GitLab for CI/CD processes.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Additional proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure automation best practices.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Working knowledge of Python for scripting or service development.
