AgileEngine is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernizing application architecture. You will design and implement robust backend services with Java and Spring Boot and build the Angular frontend to connect smoothly with backend logic.

As part of cross-functional squads, you will lead a shift toward domain-driven design, architect RESTful APIs, and contribute to scalable, high-quality features in a collaborative environment.

Formación

• 4+ years of Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Solid knowledge of Angular.
• Strong OOD and software design patterns.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Relational databases: PostgreSQL and Oracle; JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL skills and high-transactional DB experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernizing application architecture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Spend the majority of your time (approx. 70–80%) designing and implementing robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, ensuring a seamless connection between the UI and your backend logic.
• Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven structure (DDD).
• Architect RESTful APIs that prioritize proper HTTP verbs and clean, scalable patterns over legacy RPC styles.
• Work within cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features while maintaining the cohesive and proactive spirit of the team.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot, along with solid working knowledge of Angular.
• A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns.
• Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a clear understanding of standard API protocols.
• Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL skills to navigate and optimize very complex SQL, along with robust transactional database experience and a thorough understanding of enterprise-level, high-transactional platforms. Lacking this specific database proficiency will be a direct reason for rejection.
• A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience working with spec-driven development or related AI-Driven Software Development Life Cycle approaches.
• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience refactoring legacy structures into modern, domain-driven architectures.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 4+ years in Cloud Engineering, with a focus on GCP. Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of GCP services (GKE, Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Load Balancing). Kubernetes & Containers: Experience with GKE, Docker, GKE networking, and Helm. DevOps Tools: Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline automation. Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform for provisioning cloud resources. Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation. Security & Compliance: Knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, and compliance standards. Migration Track Record: Demonstrated hands‑on involvement in at least one real AWS-to-GCP migration — not just multi‑cloud familiarity — with the ability to explain what was migrated and what broke. AI-Assisted Engineering: Comfortable delivering production‑quality code with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or comparable AI coding assistants.
