What You'll Do
- PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Supervises assigned accounting activities for plant in accordance with corporate and division policies and procedures. Oversees and is an actively involved in general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting and planning functions.
- Performs specialized analyses to support complex business decisions by plant management.
- Responsible for SOX compliance. Also, directly accountable for all aspects of Swiss & US Co. reporting. Expected to actively coach and assist all dotted line (indirect) reports.
- Participates as a key member of plant manager's staff in all critical decisions impacting facility.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and coordinate plant profit plans, strategic plans, monthly forecasts and periodic financial reconciliations, reports and analysis for plant senior management.
- Identify, define, and monitor key elements of plant profit and strategic plans in light of long term goals, objectives, changes in markets, competition, regulatory environments, and economic conditions. Assess performance and attainment of strategic and operating objectives against plan commitments. Inform management of results and recommend corrective actions to unfavorable variances
- Advise and counsel plant manager on financial implications of operating strategies, actions, and decisions.
- Manage, analyze, evaluate, and interpret plant financial forecasts and operating results.
- Initiate, direct, and manage financial analyses that focus on opportunities for profit improvement and financial operating performance improvement.
- Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
- Promotes the company's mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.
- Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in business, accountant, financial or similar
- Minimum 7 years experience in a management position.
- English – language capability, speaking, reading & writing required
- Broad knowledge in taxes, and financial law.
- General business acumen and technical expertise.
- Spreadsheet and overall computer / system literacy.
- Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.
- Strong leadership skills, must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement.
Additional Information
- This position requires some travel.
- It requires the use management skills, act as a liaison for associates at all levels.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to meet and exceed customer requirements in a fast paced environment.
- Participate and assist in meeting all plant Environmental Health and Safety objectives.
- Establish a timely response for corrective actions to help drive continuous improvement through the Environmental Management Program.
- Develop and implement positive employee relations (Eaton Philosophy) to encourage employee involvement and to create an environment in which employees see no need for third party intervention.
