Descripción de la vacante

The Manitowoc Company in Monterrey seeks a skilled technician to perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software repairs on Manitowoc cranes. You will prepare detailed service plans, diagnose issues, and ensure quality in every task while complying with safety standards.

Travel to customer sites 60–75% is expected; you will build parts lists, update service reports, and support field teams.

Formación

  • Engineering degree or higher in mechanical/electromechanical/industrial maintenance/electronic/mechatronic.
  • 1–3 years hands-on industry experience.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is desirable.
  • Familiarity with workshop safety standards and procedures.
  • Previous shop/industrial environment experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems of medium complexity.
  • Perform functional tests and adjustments per OEM specifications.
  • Interpret drawings, schematics and manuals for complex repairs.
  • Prepare parts lists and job plans for service orders.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and documentation.
  • Lead or support annual inspections with technical responsibility.
  • Provide technical support to customers and field teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Descripción del empleo

Perform repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software, make technical reports, planning the tasks to make repair procedures on the time previews , execute tasks with a better quality service, Perform basic inspections, Basic Knowing tools: compressor, lathe, drilling, and welding machines, lifting and transport method, Having the knowledge about MANITOWOC procedures to assembly, maintain, and repair cranes, Build a trustful list of parts and services necessary to repair MANITOWOC equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems of medium complexity.
  • Perform functional tests and adjustments following OEM specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals for complex repairs.
  • Prepare parts lists and job plans for service orders.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and documentation.
  • Lead or support annual inspections with technical responsibility.
  • Provide technical support to customers and field teams when required.

Required Education And Experience
  • Engineering degree in mechanical, electromechanical, industrial maintenance, electronic or mechatronic.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience in the industry.
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with workshop safety standards and procedures
  • Previous experience in a shop or industrial environment preferred
Work Environment
  • Frequently exposed to outdoor conditions including heat, cold, rain, and dust
  • May work in industrial, construction, or remote field locations
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Involves working near heavy machinery and moving equipment
  • May require travel to customer sites and extended periods away from base location
  • Environment may be noisy and physically demanding
Travel Required: Approximately 60–75%

Frequent travel to customer sites and field locations is expected, including occasional overnight stays. Must be flexible and available to travel on short notice.

Other Duties
  • Support inventory management and documentation of service activities
  • Participate in customer feedback collection and service improvement initiatives
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools
  • Perform administrative tasks related to service reporting and scheduling
  • Carry out any additional duties as assigned by supervisors, aligned with company goals and operational needs
