Job summary

CommScope in Chihuahua is looking for a Lab Technician to work with test engineers on testing fiber optic products and collecting data. You will conduct optical, mechanical, and environmental tests, analyze results in Excel/Word, and report findings to confirm conformance with product requirements.

Open communication with the team is expected to support test planning and documentation. There is potential for growth with four additional technician titles as responsibilities expand and skills

Qualifications

• Competency/experience with fiber optic products and lab testing methods.
• Familiarity with test equipment and data collection processes.
• Ability to follow established lab procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Test fiber optic products using optical, mechanical, and environmental methods.
• Collect, record, analyze and report test data to evaluate conformance.
• Follow lab work instructions and update test status in the system.
• Support maintenance and validations of test equipment and documentation.
• Communicate issues promptly to the test engineer.
