A leading technology consulting firm is seeking an experienced FBS Sr Data Engineer to join their team in Mexico. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in P&C insurance, with 4-6 years of experience in data engineering and proficiency in SQL and related tools. This role requires skills in both data analysis and technical implementation, ensuring that data products are accurately designed and maintained. Formación

• 4-6 years of experience as a Data Engineer with ETL using SQL.
• At least 2 years Insurance Background – ideally P&C.

Responsabilidades

• Utilizes core tools for Data Analytics including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Python, and SQL.
• Responsible for acquiring, curating, and publishing data for analytical or operational uses.
• Ensures data is ready-to-use for all consumers.
• Translates business analytic requests into design, development, and testing tasks.
• Works independently with various technologies and begins coaching junior associates.

Requirements

We seek a Data Engineer with a strong P&C insurance background to analyze business data stories and translate them into technical requirements. The ideal candidate can independently design, build, test, and implement data products of various complexity with minimal guidance.

• 4-6 years of experience as a Data Engineer with ETL using SQL
• At least 2 years Insurance Background – Ideally P&C, flexible for other insurance areas (Health, Life if upskilling is possible)

Responsibilities

• Understands how to effectively use core tools for Data Analytics including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Python, and SQL software, Canonical models
• Responsible for acquiring, curating, and publishing data both on prem and in the cloud for analytical or operational uses for moderate scenarios
• Ensures the data is in a ready‑to‑use form that creates a single version of the truth across all data consumers, including business/technology users, reporting and visualization specialists and data scientists
• Utilizes skills to translate business analytic requests/requirements into design, development, testing, deployment, and production maintenance tasks
• Works independently with various technologies from big data, relational and non-relational databases, cloud environments, different programming languages and various reporting tools; is beginning to provide coaching to junior associates
