Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer 1 to join our EMS operations in Mexico. You will lead failure analysis for electronics, RF and optical networks, support NPI, and coordinate with technicians while communicating technical results. English proficiency is required for documentation and conferences.

You will participate in meetings, drive Kaizen initiatives, and maintain quality through data-driven analysis and accurate debugging of aging or complex units.

Qualifications

• Education in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics or related field.
• English reading of technical documentation is required; English proficiency at least 70–85%.

Responsibilities

• Lead failure analysis activities for electronics and RF/optical products.
• Coordinate with technicians, participate in NPI, and generate FAR case documentation.
• Interact with customers for technical issues and support diagnostic activities.

Failure Analysis Engineer 1 Education: Electronic Engineering, Mecatronics or related field English 85% Electronics processes, Radio Frequency, Optical Networks and quality knowledge. Experience in Electronic repair processes, telecommunications projects. Basic understanding of English to read and understand the technical documentation provided and participate in conferences. (English 70% as minimum). Balance and capacity analysis, Knowledge in optical fibers, solderability process, medium or high level of excel or google sheet, necessary knowledge in handling of measuring equipment, (Multimeter, Oscilloscope, LCR, Spectrum Analyzer), fault definition method.

• Leader, proactive, work under pressure, team work, high level of analysis, schedule availability.

• Project leader, participate on NPI, capacity analysis, supervisor of technicians, participate on CIT´s meeting, participate on improvement projects (Kaizen, 6sigma), contact to the customer for technical issues, critical debug of high aging units, debug of highly complex products or critics for their low yield, daily internal communication to the work groups, generation of FAR for case documentation, support for diagnostic technicians.
