Flex is seeking a Facilities Engineer (HVAC Expert) to join our Guadalajara, North Site, Mexico team. You will define design requirements, review equipment specs, and guide projects that keep our manufacturing facilities running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Research facility products or equipment specifications to design producible equipment.
• Define feasibility of new plant facilities equipment modifications considering costs and space.
• Provide technical facilities information affecting long-range plant planning.
• Use computer aided engineering/design software to perform tasks.
• Guide projects and project teams.
• Develop expertise in areas like clean rooms, Walk-in Coolers & Freezers, RO/DI Water systems, waste neutralization, gas systems, vacuum systems, and process chillers.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Facilities Engineer (HVAC Expert). The Facilities Engineer (HVAC Expert) will be based on Guadalajara, North Site, Mexico.

What a typical day looks like:

• Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
• Research engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
• Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors.
• Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
• Compiles and research facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
• Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Guides projects and project teams.
• Matter Expertise in one or more of the following areas: clean rooms, Walk-in Coolers & Freezers, RO/DI Water systems, Waste Neutralization, Compressed gas distribution systems, vacuum systems, Process chillers and non-clean
