Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or journalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
• Strong understanding of media operations and the news cycle.
• Proficiency in media monitoring and reporting.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for media inquiries, responding promptly and professionally.
• Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other informational materials.
• Build and maintain a database of media contacts relevant to the institution's activities.
• Monitor media coverage and report on relevant news and trends.
• Assist in organizing press conferences, media events, and interviews for institutional spokespersons.
• Support the development and execution of communication plans for key institutional initiatives.
• Maintain an understanding of the institution's mission, programs, and achievements to effectively communicate with the media.
• Contribute to crisis communication efforts by providing timely and accurate information.
