You begin with an MSCI Orientation and then work on a project with different teams, requiring attention to detail and timely delivery. A network of supportive colleagues assists at every stage of the program.

• Enrolled in an undergraduate qualification in a relevant degree subject (e.g., business, economics, finance) (6th semester or above).
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence.
• Navigate hurdles with entrepreneurial spirit to develop new business.
• High attention to detail and good team player.
• Strong analytical, data driven and problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex issues.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and work under time constraints.
• Python and SQL knowledge desired.
• AI knowledge on LLMs like Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT and automation tools desired.
• Advanced English level.

Your Team Responsibilities

The Instrument Data Management (IDM) organization is responsible for providing data content and services for MSCI tools that fuels investment decisions. Our services focus on working with the multiple business units on the production and development of input data used for product generation. In addition, we provide support to our sales team, consultants and client relations teams with client inquiries on content.

The Equity Instrument Data Intern will support the daily operation, ensuring the highest level of quality for a diverse data set of attributes. Interns are also expected to contribute to projects supporting IDM initiatives to re-build and enhance many of the core data content.

Your internship begins with an MSCI Orientation which gives you a perfect foundation for the weeks ahead as you learn about our culture, values, and business model. Your learning continues 'on-the-desk' as you work through a project involving different teams , which will require attention to detail and dilligency to meet required deadlines. You will have a network of talented and approachable colleagues who will support you through every stage of the program.
