Intuitive is seeking an Engineering Technician for an onsite position in Mexicali. The role involves evaluating, maintaining, repairing, and improving electronic and mechanical equipment to ensure reliability and availability on the manufacturing floor.

You will work with equipment engineers, perform IQOQPQ tasks where needed, and support continuous production with rigorous troubleshooting and instrumentation skills. English proficiency is required for cross‑functional collaboration.

Formación

• Technical certificate in Technical Electronics, Mechanics or similar.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• English 30% read, written, and spoken.
• Demonstrated mechanical and electronics aptitude.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting electronic/mechanical equipment.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation is a must.
• Knowledge and experience in use of special mechanical, electronics and measuring equipment.
• PLC programming, vision systems experience preferable.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, inspect, maintain, repair, design, analyze and improve equipment performance.
• Perform installation, repair, and upkeep services for mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance and respond to faults.
• Diagnose breakdown problems and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with Equipment engineers to fit or integrate new equipment.
• Identify better technologies to improve production processes.
• Assist in IQOQPQ for new installations and inspections.
• Perform quality checks on service work and manage tools/costs.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain coverage for machinery.

Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Engineering technicians may evaluate, inspect, maintain, repair, design, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment. Equipment technicians may have to work in different areas, such as electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering.

• Apply experience and knowledge to the optimization of equipment to achieve better maintainability, reliability, and availability of equipment.
• Perform installation, repair, and upkeep services for a variety of equipment either in the fields of mechanics and electronics.
• Carry out routine scheduled equipment service and responding to equipment faults.
• Diagnose breakdown problems.
• Work along with Equipment engineers to fit, design and integrate new equipment/component and make sure equipment is working correctly.
• Seek for better and more suitable technologies for improving production processes.
• Help equipment engineers in performing IQOQPQ for equipment being installed in the facilities.
• Perform quality inspection on equipment service jobs.
• Control equipment service tools as well as costs.
• Deal with emergency/unscheduled problems and repairs of equipment.
• Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

• Technical certificate in Technical Electronics, Mechanics or similar.
