Ford México is seeking a Supplier Cost Auditor to optimize engineering investments and drive financial excellence across product development programs. You will audit ED&T expenditures, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and cost efficiency, while partnering with engineering, purchasing, and finance teams.

In this role, your insights and problem-solving will contribute to delivering high-quality, cost-effective vehicles.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

  • Audit supplier invoices and costs for ED&T and change orders.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Product Development, and Finance to resolve billing issues.
  • Liaise with external suppliers to improve audit readiness and compliance.
  • Analyze KPIs and throughput to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare audit findings and executive reports for leadership reviews.
  • Benchmark best practices and apply modern auditing tools and methods.

As a Supplier Cost Auditor, you will play a critical role in optimizing engineering investments and driving financial excellence across product development programs. You will partner closely with engineering, purchasing, finance, and external suppliers to audit Engineering, Design & Testing (ED&T) expenditures, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and industry‑leading cost efficiency. In this role, your insights and collaborative problem‑solving will directly contribute to delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective vehicles to market.

Responsibilities
What you'll do.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of supplier invoices and cost submissions for Engineering, Design & Testing (ED&T) and engineering change authorizations to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Purchasing, Product Development, and Finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and manage critical cost dependencies.
  • Collaborate directly with external suppliers to foster strong working relationships, improve audit readiness, and enhance compliance with billing standards.
  • Analyze audit metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and throughput data to identify cost‑saving trends and continuous process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver clear audit findings, executive report‑outs, and data‑backed recommendations for senior leadership and governance reviews.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and leverage modern auditing tools and methodologies to continuously elevate cost‑management standards.
Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 3 to 5 years of experience in cost auditing, supplier cost management, technical procurement, or product development finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas) and familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or financial auditing systems.
  • Strong analytical and systemic problem‑solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex cost data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, growth‑oriented mindset.

  • Relevant background or previous experience within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Technical acumen in automotive engineering, product design, testing structures, or manufacturing cost breakdown.
  • Professional certifications related to internal audit, financial analysis, or project management (e.g., CIA, CPA, CMA, PMP).
