About the Project:

We’re working with a leading AI lab to build a benchmark of hard engineering tasks. We’re looking for experienced mechanical, aerospace and electrical engineers who can design, model and check them.

What You'll Do:

Work through up to three stages, each with its own check:

• Write a task specification: a hard, clearly measurable engineering problem from your own field. About 2 to 3 hours.
• Build the model: build a CAD model that meets a specification, with the tools you know best, on your own machine. No more than 40 hours.
• Write the verifiers: write code that checks whether a design meets the specification.

What You'll Bring:

• 5 + years of professional experience in mechanical, electrical or aerospace design and simulation
• Hands-on experience with modelling, simulation and design projects
• Experience with Python scripting for automation, analysis and result processing
• Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field
• Hourly rate: Up to $100/ hour
• Commitment: up to 40 hours a week for successful participants
• Employment type: Freelance
• Duration: up to 8 weeks
• Total hours: approximately 110 hours across the 3 stages
• Total compensation: successful participants can earn up to $10,000 across the three project stages
