A leading technology company is looking for a Lead Engineer to drive the development and optimization of their innovative platform in Acapulco. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of backend development experience, with expertise in Go, microservices, and API design. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to enhance system reliability and performance while employing best engineering practices. Formación

• 4 years of backend development experience, ideally with Go.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and their design.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Docker for containerization.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
• Experience with caching mechanisms like Redis.
• Familiarity with Event Streaming Platforms such as Apache Kafka.
• General knowledge of database systems including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and use of Jira for project management.
• Experience with Jenkins and Sonarqube for continuous integration and quality.
• Experience with Service Monitoring tools like SignalFx or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Review and refine technical aspects of business proposals.
• Guide team in best engineering practices and backlog grooming.
• Prepare for and execute sprint releases.

Responsibilities

As a Engineer Lead at Rappi, you will be responsible for designing and lead the teams and systems that power our innovative platform. You will leverage your expertise in Golang, asynchronicity, Kafka, SQS, as well as monitoring tools like New Relic or Splunk to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

As part of Rappi, you will be responsible for :

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Reliability and performance improvements discovery, prioritization and implementation
• Review and refinement of technical aspects of business development proposals
• Leading the team in implementing engineering best practices
• Keeping the team members challenged and motivated
• Guiding the team in backlog grooming
• Preparing and performing sprint releases
• Maintaining on-call support schedule
• Team microservice's internal architectural decisions – collaborating with other EL / EM on the design of solutions spanning multiple teams
• Team metrics weekly reporting

Qualifications

• 4 years of backend development (ideally with GO)
• Solid understanding of APIs rest

• Experience with ESP (Event Streaming Platforms) like Apache Kafka
• Good knowledge on different database engines like MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc
