Job summary

Cummins Inc. in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, seeks an Electronics Systems Product Specialist to tailor electronic and electrical systems for Cummins products in industrial applications.

You will translate product requirements into hardware and software specs and validate integrated systems. The role requires collaboration with product development teams, diagnostics and cybersecurity considerations, and leadership to guide less-experienced engineers, with on-site execution and potential relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience with electronic and mechatronic systems on internal combustion engines.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity in product remanufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve electronic application and systems issues and implement solutions.
• Apply and improve processes for system specification, modeling, calibration, DVP&R, troubleshooting, and product lifecycle support.
• Support diagnosis, repair, testing, and validation of electronic and mechatronic components for remanufacturing.
• Evaluate hardware, embedded software, controls, diagnostics, and controller interactions to support fault isolation and repair solutions.
• Collaborate with product development teams to integrate remanufacturing requirements into new designs and develop sustainable recovery solutions.
• Apply cybersecurity knowledge to remanufacturing and develop cybersecurity-protected device solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and stakeholders to support quality decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and review work of less-experienced engineers, developers, testers.
• Lead projects and support development/improvement of remanufacturing capabilities.
• Coordinate work of technicians and student employees and knowledge transfer.
