Job summary

Valeo Kapec is seeking an Engineering Disciplines Management Organization professional in a full-time capacity for its R&D Department/Product Manager track in Mexico. The role emphasizes budget definition support, QCD performance within projects, and governance of discipline methodologies.

The incumbent will mentor discipline designers, drive efficiency plans, and collaborate closely with Engineering Managers and Project Leaders to ensure timely delivery and technical excellence across programs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing budgets and cost control for engineering projects.
• Ability to lead discipline teams and ensure QCD objectives are met.
• Experience conducting Technical Design Reviews and enforcing standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Discipline budget performance within projects and track deviations.
• Ensure compliance with the Discipline Methodology and KPIs.
• Oversee design solutions and promote reuse across projects.
• Lead Technical Design Reviews conducted by discipline reviewers.

Support [Discipline Name] Discipline Budget Performance within Projects

Track and analyze budget performance within projects, identifying and addressing deviations proactively.

Support Operations

Support Projects Discipline QCD Management: Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the [Discipline Name] discipline within assigned projects, adhering to standardized methodologies and KPIs defined by the Division and implemented by the [Discipline Name] Engineering Manager.

Ensure compliance with [Discipline Name] Discipline Methodology

Implement and enforce adherence to standardized methodologies, best practices, and KPIs for the [Discipline Name] discipline.

Support design solutions and reuse

Oversee [Discipline Name] design solutions for projects and platforms, promoting the reuse of functional and solution elements from the Electronics discipline capitalization. Contribute to the resolution of critical project issues.

Technical Design Reviews

Oversee Technical Design Reviews conducted by [Discipline Name] reviewers.

Support Projects Team [Discipline Name] Skills Assessment & Training Plan: Conduct regular skills assessments of the [Discipline Name] team members allocated to projects and contribute to the development of tailored training plans to address competency gaps and support career development, aligning with the Group/Division Discipline Skills Assessment & Training Plan defined by the [Discipline Name] Engineering Manager.
