We are currently seeking a Electrical PCC Lead reporting directly to PreCommissioning and Commissioning Manager to join our team based in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.

About the opportunity we offer:

Ensuring the appropriate implementation and execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover for all electrical systems in the assigned area. The role involves overseeing daily construction activities at the worksite, including scheduling and equipment delivery, while managing the transition from construction to operational readiness.

Main Accountabilities
  • Planning & Strategy: Prepares and issues the CSU Execution Plan and procedures specific to electrical systems.
  • System Definition: Prepares the PCC scope of work in accordance with the contract and the subdivision of the plant into electrical systems and subsystems.
  • Technical Supervision: Coordinates PC&C engineers in the preparation of Operating and Maintenance Manuals and all deliverables included in the Contractual Scope of Work.
  • Execution Control: Oversees the overall system testing of the facility, systems, and sub-system functional performance in readiness for commissioning.
  • Field Leadership: Organizes pre-com / com supervisors, operators, licensors, and vendors/subcontractors' activities according to the project schedule and contract.
  • Problem Solving: Resolves standard and non-standard problems using operational expertise and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Interface & Handover: Liaises with Construction and client / PMCs operation personnel to approve sub-system acceptance and reports on PC&C activities progress.
  • Budget & Compliance: Works within budget to meet operational objectives and ensures QHSE rules are strictly applied on his/her perimeter.
About you:
  • Qualifications: Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in construction or equivalent in the oil & gas and petrochemicals industry (LNG experience highly preferred).
  • Languages: Fluent English is mandatory for technical coordination.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of work processes and tools, including Mexican and international codes and standards such as IEC, NEC, and NOMs.
  • Soft Skills: Strong management, leadership, and project management skills with the ability to explain difficult issues and obtain agreement.
