A leading aerospace engineering firm in Tijuana is seeking an experienced engineer responsible for designing and developing installation packages for aircraft systems. The ideal candidate should have a BSEE degree, 1-3 years of relevant experience, and a strong understanding of regulatory guidelines. Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory, along with advanced English skills for effective communication. This role may require domestic or international travel up to 25%.

Responsible for engineering IFE projects within the Systems Installation group from a wiring and seat integration design standpoint; from systems integration to installation. Shall be responsible to engineer, design and develop system installation packages based on customers’, regulatory and OEM’s requirements for production and retrofit applications. Has specific technical projector product responsibility.

• Support Systems Installation Group
• Support Program Management, Certification, Marketing and other departments to coordinate program requirements.
• Provide support for planning, customer meetings, preliminary design review (PDR), critical design review (CDR), First Article Inspection (FAI), aircraft surveys, aircraft installations, etc.
• Review products and provide feedback to Senior Engineers and Management.
• Coordinate design requirements and review applications for existing programs.
• Work with external engineering groups to integrate third-party vendor equipment with our systems.
• Provide technical direction to members of assigned work teams.
• Engineer, Design and Develop System Installation Packages
• Utilize AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Siemens or equivalent design tool to perform design responsibilities for wiring diagrams, cable assemblies, seat configuration, wiring/structural installation drawings, etc.
• Provide inputs to Drafters for systems design criteria to support aircraft installations.
• Assist in the guidance and direction for problem solving to Drafters.
• Support development of drawing/document standards per customer and regulatory agency requirements.
• Produce seat installation engineering documentation to support airline customer’s requirements.

• BSEE, or other relevant Engineering discipline.
• 1-3 years’ ofelectrical/seat design experience in the aircraft industry.
• Possess a strong background and understanding of airline regulatory guidelines and design requirements for aircraft wiring.
• Solid understanding of avionic parts utilized in designing and manufacturing cable assemblies and sheet metal brackets (i.e., connectors, contacts, wire types, sheet metal materials, finish, etc.).
• Proficient using AutoCAD, CATIA, PRO-E or other design software experience.
• Advanced English 90% (Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both written and verbally.)
• Visa Mandatory: This position requires up to 25% domestic or international travel to support coordination meetings and program reviews at manufacturers.
