General Description

• Administer and manage compliance with the regulations of the SSA, STPS, SEMARNAT, PC, and other applicable government entities.
• Coordinate and/or conduct the training required by the corresponding regulations.
• Train brigades on Safety and Health topics.
• Design the necessary Safety and Health training plans and/or programs for all personnel.
• Establish and monitor applicable regulatory studies on Safety and Health.
• Select appropriate personal protective equipment and train personnel in its proper use.
• Attend to and monitor government audits and procedures (STPS, SEMANART, etc.).
• Comply with the guidelines of the integrated management system (ISO 45001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14001).
• Develop action plans based on the results of the studies and findings of inspections and/or audits.
• Conduct investigations and reports on incidents/accidents, prepare action plans, and follow up.
• Ensure the internal Civil Protection plan is updated and complies with requirements. Coordinate and ensure compliance with the actions established by the health and safety committee (HSC)
• Assign and coordinate the HSC, generating reports on completed tours and following up on findings.
• Structure and schedule health and safety prevention activities (incidents, accidents, injuries, illness diagnoses, among others).
• Responsible for designing and executing the health and safety emergency plan, conducting building evacuation drills in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Implementation of an ergonomics program to prevent employee injuries or occupational illnesses.
• Ensure that all new employees receive training on occupational health and safety aspects and the risks inherent to the activities they perform.
• Ensure the monitoring, control, and constant updating of occupational disease risks identified in the different areas.
• Conduct risk analyses of equipment and operations, issuing a report and making recommendations.
• Prepare action plans derived from the risk analyses conducted and conduct follow-up.
• Management, recording, and monitoring of disabilities.
• Conduct safety walkthroughs, present findings, and follow up on preventive and corrective actions (unsafe acts and/or conditions).
• Activities to ensure legal compliance in matters of Occupational Safety and Health.
• Supervise the training system, ensuring it adheres to the Organization's quality systems.
• Manage medical services and security.
• Develop internal awareness campaigns for workplace and environmental safety.
• Manage the entry and exit of RME (Regular Materials) and RP (Regular Materials).
• Ensure proper waste management and final disposal with the supplier.
• Ensure the dissemination and compliance with SMX's environmental policy.
• Identify alternatives to reduce the amount of waste (vulcanized scrap).
• Implement best environmental practices in waste collection and management to contribute to SMX's continuous improvement.
