Caterpillar Inc. in Mexico is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety leader to manage EHS activities at a medium to large facility. You will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements across safety, health, and environmental programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, risk assessment, and incident investigation in a fast-paced industrial environment. Onsite five days a week, you will partner with operations to build a safer, more sustainable workplace.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS.
• Experience with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Ability to lead and train personnel in safety programs.

What you will do

To provide leadership, mentoring and direction to hourly, salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety (EHS) activities related to a medium to large facility.

Responsibilities

• Identifies common and more complex safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organizations operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
• Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
• Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
• Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.

Basic Requirements

Education: Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or another appropriate scientific/technical discipline.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS.

1. Demonstrated experience with EHS policy compliance and program implementation.
2. Ability to identify and mitigate safety, health, and environmental hazards.
3. Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, state, local, and other EHS regulatory requirements.
4. Experience conducting or overseeing risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
5. Knowledge on regulatory requirements on related field.
