Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS Leader at its Ensenada facilities to implement, maintain, and improve safety and environmental programs. You will ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe work culture across the plant.

You will develop EHS programs, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, train staff, and manage documentation while collaborating with production teams to embed EHS in daily operations. English proficiency is desirable.

Formación

• Bachelor in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in EHS roles in manufacturing or industrial plants.
• Deep knowledge of EHS laws and regulations (local and national).
• Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).
• Strong root-cause analysis and corrective action development skills.
• EHS professional certifications are highly valued.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to train and present to various levels.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement and monitor EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance and safe work culture.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards and propose controls to prevent incidents.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Train personnel on safety, health, and environmental procedures and emergency responses.
• Manage EHS documentation including permits, licenses, records, and reports.
• Participate in internal and external EHS audits and follow up on non-conformities.
• Collaborate with production leaders to integrate EHS into operations.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through effective communication and employee involvement.

Job Description

El Jefe de EHS es responsable de implementar, mantener y mejorar los programas y sistemas de seguridad y medio ambiente en las instalaciones de CROWN Ensenada, asegurando el cumplimiento normativo y promoviendo una cultura de trabajo segura.

• Desarrollar, implementar y monitorear programas de EHS (Medio Ambiente y Seguridad) para garantizar el cumplimiento de las regulaciones locales, nacionales e internas de la empresa.
• Realizar evaluaciones de riesgo, identificar peligros y proponer medidas de control para prevenir accidentes, enfermedades y daños ambientales.
• Investigar incidentes, accidentes y casi-accidentes, determinando sus causas raíz y desarrollando acciones correctivas y preventivas.
• Capacitar al personal en temas de seguridad, salud ocupacional y medio ambiente, incluyendo procedimientos de emergencia, manejo de materiales peligrosos y uso de equipos de protección personal.
• Gestionar y mantener la documentación relacionada con EHS, incluyendo permisos, licencias, registros de capacitación e informes de incidentes.
• Participar en auditorías internas y externas de EHS, asegurando la preparación y el seguimiento de las no conformidades.
• Colaborar con los líderes de producción y otros departamentos para integrar los principios de EHS en todas las operaciones de la planta.
• Promover una cultura de seguridad proactiva a través de la comunicación efectiva, la participación del personal y el reconocimiento de las buenas prácticas.
• Mantenerse actualizado sobre las nuevas regulaciones y mejores prácticas en EHS para asegurar la mejora continua de los programas.

Qualifications

• Licenciatura en Ingeniería Ambiental, Ingeniería Industrial, Seguridad Industrial o campo relacionado.
• Mínimo de 5 años de experiencia progresiva en roles de EHS dentro de entornos de fabricación o plantas industriales.
• Conocimiento profundo de las leyes y regulaciones de EHS aplicables (locales y nacionales).
• Experiencia demostrable en la implementación y gestión de sistemas de gestión de EHS (por ejemplo, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).
• Habilidades avanzadas en la investigación de accidentes, análisis de causas raíz y desarrollo de acciones correctivas.
• Certificaciones profesionales en EHS son altamente valoradas.
• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita, con capacidad para capacitar y presentar eficazmente a diferentes niveles de la organización.
• Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y como parte de un equipo multidisciplinario.
• Dominio del idioma inglés (lectura, escritura y conversación) es deseable.
• Proactivo/a, orientado/a a resultados y con un fuerte compromiso con la seguridad y la protección del medio ambiente.
