Flex is seeking an EH&S Engineer to join our team in Tijuana. You will develop, implement, and monitor environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, contributing to accident-free operations.

The role involves collaborating with various departments to design safe machinery, conduct audits, educate workers on safety policies, and report on safety metrics and incidents to continually improve workplace health and safety performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Certified as a lead auditor in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Experience implementing and monitoring EHS KPIs.
• Experience auditing government and business units.
• Interfacing with vendors and contractors on safety matters.

Responsabilidades

Job Summary

Job summary: To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an EH&S Engineer located in Tijuana. Reporting to the EH&S Manager, EH&S Engineer role involves in charge of developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Accident-free, healthy work.

What a typical day looks like:

• Consults with all departments on design and use of equipment, fire prevention and safety programs
• Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to define if all safety precautions have been included.
• Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Define requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds and installs or directs installation of safety devices on machinery.
• Conduct or coordinates safety training to educate workers about emergency acknowledge, safety policies, laws and practices.
• Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.
• Conducts hygiene evaluation.
• In charge of identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Serves as internal consultant to business units on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety matters.
• Audits business units.
• Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and engineers regarding facilities, chemicals and other workplace health and safety related matters.
• Compiles and submits safety reports.
• Administers workers’ compensation
• Ejecutar actividades relacionadas con ISO 14001 y 45001

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Intermediate English.
• Certified as a lead auditor in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
