Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA in Mexico is seeking an engineer to own chassis components from concept to mass production, coordinating design, release, testing, and validation.
You will work with NX/CATIA, support DFMEAs/PFMEAs, manage ECNs, and participate in pilot builds at plants; travel may be required.
Are you a passionate engineer ready to take full ownership of vital chassis components from initial concept to mass production? In this role, you will manage the design, specification, testing, validation, and release of critical structural and dynamic systems (such as suspension, steering, braking systems, frames, control arms, subframes, and structural brackets).
We welcome entry-level engineers and recent graduates with strong academic background or automotive project experience, as well as experienced Product and Design Engineers (up to 8 years of experience) looking to lead and elevate chassis engineering initiatives.
Design & Release: Utilize NX Software and/or CATIA (2D & 3D) to design, modify, package, and release assigned chassis commodities, structural components, and assemblies.
Testing & Validation: Request, authorize, and evaluate required functional, NVH, durability, fatigue, and safety/compliance testing (DVP&R) both in virtual environments and assembly plants.
Supplier & Plant Support: Coordinate DFMEAs/PFMEAs with suppliers, manage Engineering Change Notices (ECN/CN), and support Pilot/Pre-series build events at manufacturing plants when travel is required.
Problem Solving: Analyze structural, fit, and performance failures using advanced problem-management methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
Continuous Improvement & Benchmarking: Propose, validate, and execute mass-reduction (lightweighting), cost-reduction strategies (VAVE), and benchmark performance, weight, and manufacturing efficiency.
