Job Description

INFYMEX –– Python + SQL Data Engineer – Ingeniero de Datos de Python + SQL

Infosys is seeking Data Engineers with Python and SQL experience. In this role, you will work directly with the clients to develop a Data Engineering program that includes building data pipelines and Data Lake initiatives, executive reporting using dashboards, and process/workflow definition implementation. Locations for this position are Mexico (Mexico City, GDL and MTY).

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Very good communication skills and English level.

Mandatory Skillsets

• At least 3 years of project experience in Python and SQL.
• Good understanding of ETL concepts.

Good to Have

• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience in a Big Data ecosystem using Hadoop/Python/Scala/Spark/PySpark for large‑scale data.
• Experience with Azure Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience with a data warehouse using any ETL tool.
• Experience with Unix shell scripting.

Other Relevant Experience

• Experience in software development life cycle.
• Working in an agile environment, developing new systems and maintaining existing ones.
• Ability to work in a team in a diverse, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Preferred: Experience in Financial Services or Insurance Domain.
