POSITION: Director of HIV and Community Health Program

RESPONSIBLE TO: Vice President of External Affairs

SCHEDULE: 1 day a week on-site, 4 days a week remote

PAY RANGE: $65,508.00 - $79,310.00 a year

THE OBJECTIVE: You will manage all aspects of the HIV and Community Health programs including Promotores and the NCHN and provide leadership, guidance, training, and evaluation of department staff, programming, and/or projects.

SUCCESS: You know you are successful when your teams' goals and program outcomes are met. You will show patience and sophistication working in a fast-paced external environment while negotiating bureaucratic and necessary realities of an effective and large $50 million, 4-state powerhouse. You will champion the work of incorporating inclusivity into PPRM’s HIV and Community Health Programs work.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • You are a strong leader with multiple years of demonstrated experience in a related field with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • You are very comfortable discussing sexuality and sexual health and working with diverse populations.
  • You have strong organizational skills and you consistently communicate ethically and effectively.
  • You are experienced in personnel and educational program management, curricula development, evaluation, marketing, collaborative strategies, and professional training.

PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • 1) Lead a High-Performing Team: HIV, Promotores and NCHN staff look to you to provide the vision, leadership, and day-to-day management that enables their success. You set and hold the big picture for the team, keeping it focused on achieving goals and implementing outstanding programs. To do this, you will:
    • Provide personnel management for regional staff, including: hiring, defining job objectives and skill set requirements, training, performance review, and termination as necessary.
    • Direct the preparation, implementation and management of HIV and Community Health program budgets.
    • Provide supervision, leadership and technical support for HIV and Community Health program department programs.
    • Develop and facilitate marketing and service delivery strategies to support HIV and Community Health programs and staff.
    • Pursue opportunities to evaluate, create and/or expand regional community HIV and community health programs based on needs assessment.
    • In collaboration with regional staff create and utilize a community needs assessment.
    • Provide community outreach programming and when appropriate facilitate youth development groups.
    • Deliver customized information sessions regarding HIV and Community Health programming to current and potential donors, media, staff, and community members.
    • Direct the development and utilization of program curricula and evaluation processes.
