Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Gerente de Seguridad de Redes to lead the network security program in Cancún, Quintana Roo. This executive role oversees design, implementation, and maintenance of secure networks, guiding a team of security professionals and shaping strategy to protect digital assets.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network security, strong leadership, and a proven track record managing security operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security technologies.
• Proven experience with firewall management, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Experience in incident management and developing response plans.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCIE Security, or CCNP Security) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the network security team, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Develop and execute comprehensive network security strategies and roadmaps.
• Oversee configuration and management of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security devices.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments of network infrastructure.
• Design and implement network segmentation and access control policies.
• Lead incident response efforts for network security breaches.
• Manage security vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training related to network security.
