Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Director of Innovation in Insurance to drive digital transformation across the organization. This fully remote executive position requires strategic thinking and deep knowledge of insurtech trends, AI, data analytics, and customer-centric product development.

You will lead the innovation agenda, collaborate with startups and partners, and shape new business models while steering the organization toward a digitally enabled future.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a related field (Business Admin, Technology Management, Finance).
• 10+ years in insurance with at least 5 years leading innovation or digital transformation.
• Proven track record of launching innovative products or digital solutions.
• Strong understanding of insurtech, AI, data analytics, blockchain and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Identify emerging tech, market trends, and disruptions in insurance.
• Lead ideation, development, and piloting of new products, services and digital platforms.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration across the organization.
• Build and manage relationships with insurtech startups, technology partners, and VCs.
• Oversee digital transformation initiatives with focus on adoption and integration.
• Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify unmet needs and opportunities.
• Manage the innovation pipeline, budgets, resources, and performance metrics.
• Present roadmaps and progress to the executive leadership team.
