Formación

• Master's degree in Art History, Curatorial Studies, Arts Administration, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in gallery management, curatorial work, or art dealership.
• Proven track record in curating impactful exhibitions and managing artist relationships.
• Proven sales experience and ability to build a strong collector base.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary art and market trends.
• Excellent strategic planning, financial management, and leadership skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with art fairs and international art market dynamics.
• Proficiency with gallery management software and digital marketing tools.

About the Role

Our client, a vibrant and cutting-edge independent art gallery located in the dynamic city of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, MX , is seeking an experienced and visionary Director de Galería de Arte Independiente . This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for contemporary art and a proven ability to manage all facets of gallery operations. The Director will be responsible for curating exhibitions, managing artist relationships, driving sales, developing marketing strategies, and overseeing the financial health of the gallery. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the art market, strong networking skills, and the ability to foster a creative and productive environment. You will play a crucial role in shaping the gallery's identity and contributing to the cultural landscape of Chihuahua . Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of exhibition planning, from loan agreements and shipping to installation and de-installation.
• Ensure a welcoming and engaging experience for all gallery visitors and clients.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Art History, Curatorial Studies, Arts Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in gallery management, curatorial work, or art dealership.
• Demonstrated success in curating impactful exhibitions and managing artist relationships.
• Proven track record in art sales and building a strong collector base.
• Excellent knowledge of contemporary art, including emerging artists and market trends.
• Strong strategic planning, financial management, and leadership skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with art fair participation and international art market dynamics.
• Proficiency in gallery management software and digital marketing tools.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, MX.
