BMW Group in Mexico is seeking a dedicated Engineer specializing in Body in White dimensional control to ensure quality and compliance with vehicle specs. You will verify methods, analyze measurement data, and collaborate with manufacturing teams to maintain dimensional standards.

The role focuses on root-cause analysis, process improvements, and clear reporting of dimensional status and deviations. Strong communication and fluent business English are required for cross-functional coordination.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of automotive industry experience in geometrical topics for Body Shop.
• Experience in adjustments in the line and measurement reports.
• Problem-solving methods and root cause analysis (Quality tools, Ishikawa, 5Why’s).
• Good communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a team.
• Fluent business English.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible and accountable for ensuring dimensional accuracy and validation of Body in White structures, in accordance with defined product specifications, quality standards, and dimensional targets.
• Define, verify, and support product and process methods related to dimensional assurance, measurement strategies, and production stability.
• Investigate and analyze complete vehicle dimensional issues, including root-cause identification, containment definition, corrective action follow-up, and cross-functional alignment
• Monitor, evaluate, and manage the dimensional status of Body in White structures, ensuring compliance with defined geometric specifications, dimensional targets, and quality standards.
• Maintain and analyze key performance indicator data and dimensional reports, including metrology results, total vehicle feedback, and external studies, to identify deviations from agreed targets and enable early detection of potential issues.
• Initiate, coordinate, and implement equipment, fixture, tooling, and process adjustments to improve dimensional quality and production capability.
• Identify root causes of dimensional deviations and define sustainable technical solutions, ensuring long-term problem elimination and prevention of recurrence.
• Prepare and communicate technical reports regarding the dimensional status of Body in White, including deviation analysis, trend evaluation, countermeasure status, and escalation topics.
