Bluelight Consulting, Llc is seeking a DevOps / SRE / DevSecOps Engineer (AWS) for a remote role focused on Latin America. The candidate will implement scalable cloud architectures, secure pipelines, and robust automation across AWS services.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps with strong AWS and IaC experience, plus a security-minded approach and excellent collaboration across time zones.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong hands-on with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.
• Experience with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging/observability tools (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch).
• Experience with security, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and hardening practices.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 audits or client security reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3)
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production, including multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica lag monitoring
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and ECS/Fargate
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with deployment automation and tested rollback paths, including rollback drills
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar)
• Experience with load testing (k6 or similar) and operating services against latency SLOs and error budgets
• Security-first mindset: experience with vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance/hardening practices
• Experience supporting SOC 2 (or similar) audit evidence and client security reviews
• Experience with incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with S3 Object Lock and long-term archival for audit/compliance retention
• Experience supporting secure multi-tenant environments (e.g., PostgreSQL Row-Level Security)
• Experience supporting database migration tooling and expand/contract schema changes
• Experience in compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy domains (e.g., fintech, telecom/TCPA compliance)
