We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERING.

Role Purpose

This role is responsible for design, develop, and optimize robust ETL processes using IBM DataStage and Oracle technologies to support the organization’s data integration, transformation, and reporting needs. The Senior Developer will ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of data pipelines, contribute to solution architecture, and provide technical leadership and best practices to the team. This role is critical for enabling accurate, timely, and secure data flows across core business and regulatory processes.

Main Activities

This role will carry out some or all the following activities:

  • ETL Solution Delivery: Target: Meet 100% of ETL solution deliveries according to project schedule. Measure: Percentage of deliverables completed on time and in compliance with requirements.
  • Technical Decision-Making: Target: Propose and document at least 2 technical improvements per semester. Measure: Number of proposals implemented and their impact on operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Target: ≥ 90% satisfaction in user surveys and related areas. Measure: Satisfaction survey results and feedback received.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Target: Perform at least 1 knowledge transfer session per month. Measure: Number of sessions performed and team participation.
  • Data Quality & Compliance: Target: ≤ 0.5% of data quality errors in ETL processes. Measure: Number of quality incidents and compliance with internal controls.
  • Incident Response: Target: Resolve 95% of critical incidents in less than 24 hours. Measure: Average resolution time and number of incidents outside SLA.
  • Process Documentation: Target: 100% of critical ETL processes documented and updated quarterly. Measure: Percentage of documentation reviewed and audited.
Qualifications Required
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in ETL process development, preferably using IBM DataStage.
  • Robust knowledge of Oracle databases, including modeling, query optimisation, and basic management.
  • Proven experience in data integration, handling large volumes of information and data quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of security policies, regulatory compliance and best practices in data management.
  • Ability to document technical and functional processes.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with business and technology areas.
  • Desirable: Certifications in DataStage, Oracle or data management; experience in regulated environments (financial, banking, etc.).

  • Performance Optimization: Ensure ETL processes are efficient and scalable, minimising load times and resource use.
  • Incident and error management: Quickly solve problems in ETL processes to avoid impacts on the operation and financial report.
  • Regulatory and security compliance: Ensure that processes comply with internal and external regulations, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of data.
  • Technology update: Adapt to new versions of DataStage, Oracle and other tools, managing migration and training.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams: Effectively coordinate with business areas, infrastructure and support to align goals and priorities.
Responsibilities
  • The Senior ETL DataStage & Oracle Developer operates in a highly regulated, data‑driven environment where the accuracy, integrity, and availability of financial and regulatory information is critical to the business. This role is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust ETL processes that support the organization’s core systems, working with large volumes of data and multiple sources.
  • The position requires constant interaction with business teams, analysts, data architects and infrastructure areas, ensuring that the implemented solutions meet quality, security and regulatory compliance standards. In addition, the role demands the ability to adapt to technological and regulatory changes, as well as to lead continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives in a dynamic and high-demand environment.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring that all ETL development and data management activities strictly adhere to the organization’s internal controls, compliance policies, and Financial Information Management (FIM) requirements. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, following established change management procedures, and ensuring data privacy and security standards are met. The role must proactively identify and report any control weaknesses or compliance breaches.
  • Data Volume: Responsible for ETL processes that handle large volumes of financial and regulatory data, processing millions of records daily.
  • Critical Systems: Support and development for applications that directly impact the organization’s financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Budget Responsibility: Participation in the estimation and control of budgets for data integration projects and technological improvements, with influence on investment decisions in infrastructure and licensing.
  • Transaction Size: Processing of transactions and data movements that may affect key balance sheet figures and regulatory reports.
  • Compliance Impact: Ensures compliance with internal and external regulations, directly impacting the integrity and reliability of information reported to regulatory entities.
  • Stakeholder Reach: Interaction with multiple business, IT and audit areas, influencing critical processes and strategic decision making related to data management.
Language Level
  • English level – Advanced English Proficiency C1.
