Una empresa líder en fabricación de baño y cocina busca un Ingeniero de Diseño para su equipo en Monterrey, México. Este puesto es crucial para el desarrollo y lanzamiento de grifos y accesorios innovadores. Se requiere título en Ingeniería Mecánica y más de 5 años de experiencia en diseño y manufactura. Formación

  • 5+ años de experiencia progresiva en diseño mecánico y desarrollo de productos.
  • Experiencia demostrada en análisis de causas raíz y acciones correctivas.
  • Dominio de GD&T y herramientas de apilamiento de tolerancias.

Responsabilidades

  • Liderar el diseño y lanzamiento de grifos y accesorios de cocina y baño.
  • Colaborar con equipos globales para cumplir con estándares de calidad y regulación.
  • Entregar diseños manufacturables y rentables que superen expectativas.

Responsabilidades

The world’s leading bath & kitchen manufacturer is seeking a Design Engineer for our growing Fittings Engineering team in our R&D center in Monterrey, Mexico. As a Sr. Design Engineer, you drive the successful design, development, and launch of innovative and high‑quality bath and kitchen faucets and accessories for the Americas market under the Grohe, American Standard and DXV brands. This position is critical for executing complex engineering projects within the New Product Development (NPD) process, as well as ongoing product improvements and engineering maintenance of the existing product portfolio. You are responsible for delivering cost‑effective, robust, and manufacturable designs that meet or exceed customer expectations, functional performance requirements, and regional/global regulatory standards. You will take the lead role as the R&D member, collaborating with global internal cross‑functional teams (Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Marketing) as well with external regional and global supply partners.

Requisitos
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical, electromechanical design and product development, specifically in mid to high volume manufacturing or R&D environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (8D methodology preferred).
  • Expert proficiency in 3‑D CAD software Creo and Product Data Management, ideally SAP ECTR.
  • Application knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) as well as tolerance stack‑up and simulation tools such as FEA.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to plumbing fittings such as plastic injection molding, zinc die casting, brass casting, stamping, machining, decorative finishing and assembly.
  • Familiarity with plumbing regulatory standards (ASME, ASSE) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced skills in Google office applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and/or MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is highly preferred.
  • German or Chinese language skills are desirable.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking. Demonstrated ability to handle complex open‑ended design and quality issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Self‑motivated, works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team player: proactive and cooperative attitude, with a focus on achieving team goals and supporting junior engineers.
  • Must be able to travel, including occasional travel outside Mexico/US.
