Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• Advanced English skills required.
• 5+ years in Power Electronics / SMPS.
• Experience with SMPS topologies: Boost, Buck, Flyback, LLC/LCC.
• Experience with SPICE simulators (PSpice/LTSpice).
• PCB design knowledge.
• Experience with lab equipment and cross-functional teams.
• UL certification knowledge applicable to LED drivers.

Job Summary

The Design Engineer (Electronic/Electrical) will be responsible for product design and development from concept through production, primarily supporting LED Drivers, ECG and LE products. The role covers new product development, sustaining engineering, product improvements, cost reduction, and resolution of field problems. The engineer will also lead prototyping, testing, verification, and product development projects.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Design and development of Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS).
• Component selection and qualification.
• Development and management of schematics, layouts, BOMs, Engineering Change Notices and engineering specifications.
• Electrical, thermal, EMI, mechanical and environmental qualification testing.
• Prototyping and sample assembly.
• Troubleshooting part and assembly issues with Manufacturing.
• Participation in Stage Gate / Product Development processes.
• Development of concepts for new products.
• Continuous improvement focused on productivity, quality, purchasing and manufacturing.
• Cost reduction and process improvement initiatives

Skills And Minimum Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree
• Advanced English skills
• Strong experience or knowledge in Power Electronics / SMPS.
• Understanding of Boost, Buck, Flyback, LLC, LCC and resonant converters.
• Experience with PSpice or LTSpice.
• PCB design knowledge.
• Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, AC/DC power supplies and electronic loads.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Over 5+ years of experience or strong knowledge specifically in Power Electronics and SMPS.
• Knowledge of UL certification and UL testing processes applicable to LED drivers and lighting.
• Project management experience preferred.Technical leadership and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
