Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle and Exadata to manage, maintain, and optimize mission‑critical database environments. The ideal candidate will manage mission‑critical database environments, optimize performance, support cloud migrations, automation initiatives and security of database platforms across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Your responsibilities would consist of:

  • Database Administration: Install, configure, upgrade, and patch, troubleshoot performance issues, tune queries, manage replication/clustering.
  • Automating provisioning, patching, alert resolutions.
  • Configuring VCN, subnets and security groups for databases.
  • Performance & Capacity Planning: Optimize workloads, forecast scaling needs.
  • Configure Oracle grid infrastructure, ASM and RAC clusters.
  • Implement data guard for DR and HA.
  • Support Exadata db@cloud deployments.
  • Define and enforce database security policies, including TDE, auditing, and access controls.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec teams to conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for performance degradation, node failures, or data loss incidents.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and architectural blueprints.
Who Are We Looking For?
Education

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.

Experience
  • 3+ years DBA experience with Oracle databases and Exadata.
  • Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters): Setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • ASM (Automatic Storage Management): Disk group management and performance tuning.
  • Data Guard: High availability and disaster recovery configuration.
  • RMAN (Recovery Manager): Backup, restore, and cloning operations.
  • SQL & PL/SQL: Advanced query tuning, procedure development, and debugging.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM): Monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics.
  • Transparent Data Encryption (TDE): Data protection at rest.
  • Performance Tuning: AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL Plan Management.
