Job summary

Scotiabank in Mexico City is seeking a Data Risk Advisor to join the Data & AI Risk team. Based in CDMX, you will lead and support second-line data risk activities across business lines and regions, ensuring governance and risk appetite are applied.

You will collaborate with local and enterprise stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and elevate data risk issues, and to implement the data risk operating model. Bilingual Spanish/English is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a relevant field.
• At least five years of experience in a financial institution or regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of data risk, governance and data management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver data risk activities for assigned lines, regions or subsidiaries.
• Review and challenge first-line data risk practices and controls.
• Support local adoption of enterprise data risk policies and standards.
• Identify, document and elevate data risk issues and incidents.
• Prepare reporting for senior management and governance forums.
