DXC Technology Inc. is seeking a Data & Reporting Application Engineer / Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software applications, databases, and reporting solutions.

You will implement complex SQL scripts, migrate data platforms to Databricks, and craft Power BI reports and semantic models for critical business insights. The role requires strong SQL, Databricks, Power BI expertise, and experience with Power Automate workflows.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering or related field.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, reporting or application support.
• Strong SQL development, query tuning, data modeling, and database design expertise.
• Experience with Databricks and modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Advanced Power BI knowledge: data modeling, DAX, semantic models, and dashboard design.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration solutions.
• Experience developing Power Automate workflows and automation solutions.
• Knowledge of SSL certificates, lifecycle management and application security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and reporting solutions.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, and data transformations.
• Lead migration of data solutions from SQL Server to Databricks while ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Design and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models for insights.
• Develop advanced DAX measures and data models for complex reporting needs.
• Manage multiple data connections in Power BI across SQL, Databricks, APIs, and files.
• Maintain Power Automate workflows for data ingestion, reporting automation, and file transfers.
• Perform root cause analysis of data discrepancies and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver sustainable solutions.
• Assist with SSL certificate renewals and secure application infrastructure.
• Monitor environments for risks, performance issues, and improvements.
• Debug production issues across apps, databases, and automation platforms.
• Participate in architecture and code reviews to enforce standards.
