El candidato ideal tendrá experiencia en modelado energético y debe ser capaz de dirigir la digitalización de procesos de optimización. Se requiere conocimiento avanzado de herramientas digitales como Excel y Power BI, así como programación en Python o R. Fluidez en español e inglés es indispensable. Formación

• Título universitario en Ingeniería, Actuaría, Administración de Empresas o Finanzas.
• Especializaciones en análisis de datos y programación altamente recomendadas.
• Experiencia mínima de 3 a 5 años en un puesto similar.
• Fluidez en español e inglés.

Responsabilidades

• Desarrollar, fortalecer y automatizar modelos de margen energético.
• Colaborar en procesos de optimización de activos.
• Mantener modelos de margen energético para los activos de potencia.
• Liderar la estrategia de digitalización para el equipo de optimización.

Role Objective

• The main purpose of the Data Optimization Leader is to cross‑collaborate with the S&EM team to

i) develop, strengthen, and automate the Energy Margin models of Engie Mexico's power generation assets,

ii) lead the digitalization of the asset optimization processes, and

iii) collaborate with the PAO team for asset optimization activities.

Your Impact

• Data Optimization Leader,
• you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to our mission, playing a key role in:

Short‑term optimization

• Understand, build and operate a short‑term optimization model based on generation data from the Power Generation team and Market Intelligence data (short‑term price curves and meteorology).
• Collaborate in the daily nomination process.

Energy Margin Management

• Build and maintain the energy margin models for the power assets aimed to support the yearly business objectives, such as budget, the mid‑term plan (MTP), and the monthly comparisons.
• Understand business data needs, data availability in order to create real‑time and user‑friendly EM analysis reports.

Reporting and Digitalization

• Identify, translate, and verify the needs of the Power Asset Optimization team and answer the information & data requirements in a timely manner and / or detect the areas of opportunity of the current data / tools.
• Lead the digitalization strategy for the Power Asset Optimization Team.

Cross‑collaboration

• Coordinate continuous interaction with power asset operations teams (e.g., Site Managers and Commercial Management) and the internal support areas.
• Actively promote continuous collaboration with other Engie Mexico areas, such as Power Business Units, and among S&EM Teams.

Requirements

Education

• Industrial Engineer, Data Engineer, Actuary, Business Administration, Finance BA or similar.
• Data analysis and programming specializations highly recommended.
• Master degree in related area (desirable).

Experience

• 3 or 5 years in similar position.

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of digital tools, such as Excel, VBA, Power BI, Tableau, and modeling language (required).
• Financial modeling background (desirable).
• Programming experience in Python or R (strongly encouraged).
• Knowledge of the National Electrical System (required) and the Natural Gas Market (ideally).

Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
