Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Integration Engineer to design, develop, and support reliable data and application integration solutions across modern cloud platforms, enterprise applications, legacy systems, databases, and external services.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with AWS integration services, REST APIs, event‑driven architectures, serverless workflows, data modeling, and CI/CD, with a strong focus on security, scalability, reliability, and data quality.

- Design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable data and application integration solutions.

- Develop cloud-based processing workflows using:

- Deploy and support containerized integration workloads using Amazon ECS.
- Design secure and cost-effective file and object storage solutions using Amazon S3.
- Integrate modern cloud services with legacy systems, enterprise applications, databases, and external platforms.
- Analyze data requirements and develop logical and physical data models.
- Evaluate and select appropriate storage strategies based on access patterns, scalability, security, performance, and retention requirements.
- Implement integration capabilities including:
- Data validation
- Transformation
- Routing
- Retry mechanisms
- Ensure data quality, integrity, lineage, encryption, and secure access across integration workflows.
- Develop automated tests and support CI/CD-based deployment of data and integration components.
- Implement logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards for integration flows.
- Troubleshoot API failures, event-processing issues, data discrepancies, and legacy-system constraints.
- Produce API specifications, data mappings, integration diagrams, support runbooks, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in Data Engineering, Integration Engineering, Backend Development, or Cloud Integration.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services, particularly:
- Amazon ECS
- AWS Lambda
- AWS Step Functions
- Amazon S3
- Strong understanding of REST API design, including:
- Validation
- Experience implementing event‑driven architectures using SNS, SQS, and/or EventBridge.
- Demonstrated experience integrating legacy platforms with modern cloud-based services.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and storage strategy selection.
- Knowledge of both synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Understanding of data security, encryption, data quality, and access control.
- Experience writing automated tests and deploying services through CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, analytical, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python, FastAPI, or another modern backend framework.
- Knowledge of:
- Relational databases
- NoSQL databases
- Object storage
- Analytical data platforms
- Experience with schema management, event contracts, idempotency, dead‑letter queues, and replay mechanisms.
- Familiarity with:
- Terraform
- Docker
- AWS monitoring and observability services
- Relevant AWS Developer, Data, or Solutions Architect certification.
