Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an IT Data Engineer II to design, develop, and support scalable data solutions within Tyson's cloud analytics ecosystem. The role focuses on building data pipelines, dimensional models, and reporting solutions using Tyson-approved platforms and patterns.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of related experience, with strong SQL, data warehousing concepts, and CI/CD know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
• Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT Certification.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using SQL, scripting, and Tyson-approved data engineering frameworks.
• Develop and maintain ELT/ETL processes utilizing Cloud Platform services.
• Build and support enterprise data warehouse solutions following Tyson dimensional modeling standards (Star Schema, Kimball).
• Develop and optimize data models, views, stored procedures, and transformations for performance and usability.
• Collaborate with business partners, product owners, and analytics teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Build, deploy, and support data visualization solutions that communicate data insights.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and participate in cost management initiatives.
• Contribute to data architecture reviews and recommend improvements to data structures and reporting solutions.
• Assist with streaming, near real-time, and batch data integration initiatives where applicable.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver business value.
• Perform other duties aligned with Tyson Foods' mission and objectives.
