The mission:

Join Baubap as Data Lead – Growth & Experimentation and own the end-to-end data and experimentation strategy that enables profitable growth with disciplined unit economics.

This role is a hands‑on leadership position, responsible for transforming data into concrete decisions across Acquisition, Retention and Collections, with a clear objective: acquire better customers, reduce loss rate and improve payback.

You will be the single owner of experimentation at Baubap, defining what is tested, how it is measured, which metrics matter, and under what rules an experiment is considered successful or not. This includes designing the experimentation framework, governing its execution, and ensuring results drive real business decisions.

As Baubap scales, success is not defined by growth at any cost, but by faster payback, lower losses and sustainable portfolio quality. This role ensures Growth decisions are grounded in causal evidence, not assumptions or correlation.

The expected outcome:
  • A clear, company-wide Growth data and experimentation framework/playbook consistently used across Acquisition, Retention, Product and Risk
  • Clearly defined and trusted key revenue and Growth metrics (CAC, LTV, payback, loss rate.
  • Growth decisions optimized for payback period, LTV/CAC and portfolio quality, not vanity metrics
  • Reliable understanding of what drives incremental growth and customer quality, combining experimentation and analytical insights
  • Improved acquisition budget allocation toward channels and segments LowR & Mid (faster payback and better collections performance.)
  • Faster and more confident decision‑making enabled by trusted dashboards, analyses and experiment results
  • Alignment across teams on how success is measured and how insights translate into action
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science or Growth Data roles, with strong hands‑on ownership
  • Proven experience working closely with Growth, Acquisition and Retention teams to influence budget and strategy
  • Strong ownership of Growth and revenue metrics (CAC, LTV, payback, loss rate, collections performance)
  • Proven experience designing and governing experimentation and incrementality frameworks
  • Solid understanding of causal inference, including A/B testing, lift studies and synthetic controls
  • Experience with attribution modeling and media performance analysis beyond last‑click
  • Ability to build budget forecasts and scenario models to support acquisition planning
  • Strong experience with SQL and Python for analytics, experimentation and modeling
  • Experience owning data pipelines, metric definitions and data quality standards
  • Proven ability to create executive dashboards and business narratives
  • Experience with event‑based and lifecycle data (Braze or similar)
  • Fintech, lending or credit experience is a strong plus
