SOFTGIC in Chihuahua, Mexico is seeking a Data Analyst - Reporting & Visualization to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable dashboards and reports that support strategic and operational decisions. You will report to the Data Architect and work within our Microsoft Azure-based data ecosystem to deliver robust, visually compelling solutions.

Formación

• 3+ years in a Data Analyst or BI role.
• Proficient in Power BI including DAX, data modeling, dashboards, and reports.
• Strong Python skills for data wrangling with Pandas/NumPy.
• Hands-on Azure Data Factory experience creating/monitoring pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Azure SQL Database and SQL optimization.
• Understanding of Data Warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports across multiple business areas.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and automation.
• Collaborate with Data Architect to enhance data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Query and manage data in Azure SQL Database with focus on accuracy and performance.
• Apply data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts (Star/Snowflake).
• Translate business requirements into end-to-end reporting solutions.
• Document data sources, transformations, rules, and report logic.
• Identify data quality issues and coordinate with upstream teams to resolve.
• Adhere to data governance policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Data Analyst - Reporting & Visualization to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable dashboards and reports that support strategic and operational business decisions.

Reporting directly to the Data Architect, this role will work across the organization’s Microsoft Azure-based data ecosystem, partnering with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions that are both technically robust and visually compelling.

This position is ideal for someone who cares equally about data quality, accuracy, and consistency and the usability and impact of the dashboards they create.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports across multiple business areas.
  
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and automation.
  
• Partner with the Data Architect to build and enhance data pipelines and integration workflows using Azure Data Factory.
  
• Query and manage data within Azure SQL Database, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  
• Apply data warehouse and dimensional modeling principles, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
  
• Translate business requirements into reporting specifications and deliver solutions end-to-end.
  
• Document data sources, transformations, business rules, and report logic to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  
• Identify data quality issues and collaborate with upstream teams to resolve them.
  
• Follow organizational policies, procedures, and applicable data governance requirements.
  
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, or similar role.
  
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including:
  • DAX
    
  • Data modeling
    
  • Dashboard and report development
    
  • Report publishing
    
• Solid Python skills, particularly for data wrangling and transformation using Pandas, NumPy, or similar libraries.
  
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, including building and monitoring data pipelines.
  
• Working knowledge of Azure SQL Database, including:
  • SQL queries
    
  • Query optimization
    
  • Schema design
    
  • Data access patterns
    
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling concepts.
  
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on clean, accurate, and well-documented work.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Databricks.
  
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
  
• Exposure to Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold) or similar layered data architectures.
